Cinnamon Almond Spice Latte

If you are looking for a healthy warming drink that is perfect for these winter days then check out my Cinnamon Almond Spice Latte.


It is loaded with healthy plant-based ingredients including cinnamon. Cinnamon has so many health benefits including the following:


Immune Booster
Loaded with antioxidants
Improves insulin sensitivity
Lowers Blood Sugar Levels
Is Anti-Fungal and Anti-Bacterial

Ingredients:

1 ½ cups water

3 tablespoons coconut milk (full fat)

½ cup brewed coffee (strong brew)

2 tablespoons creamy almond butter

2 medjool dates (large & pits removed)

½ teaspoon cinnamon

¼ teaspoon nutmeg

Pinch cayenne pepper

1 large strip of orange peel

1 teaspoon vanilla extract *

Directions:

  • Place all ingredients into a high speed blender and blend until smooth.
  • Pour into a saucepan and heat over medium heat until heated all the way through and bubbling. Stir occasionally. 
  • Add more water for a thinner consistency.
  • Enjoy!

Notes:

  • Serve with some coconut cream and a sprinkle of cinnamon on top.
  • Can substitute vanilla extract with raw vanilla bean powder.
  • Can replace coconut milk with a non-dairy milk of your choice.
